complete my album!

Getting those obscure, album-only bits of filler genius on iTunes just got a bit cheaper.

From Variety:
"Complete My Album" gives users a full credit toward an album purchase for previously bought tracks.

the lady doth protest too much, methinks

If nominated, I will not accept; if drafted, I will not run; if elected I will not serve.

The March 2008 presidential vote is seen as a key test for Russia's political system, and any change in the law to permit Putin to stay in the job would be seen by the West as a further erosion of democracy.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed Mironov's proposal, saying that Putin remains opposed to any changes in the constitution that would extend his term.

"We proceed from the president's position that it is pointless to change the constitution to extend the presidential term or the number of terms," he told The Associated Press. "This stance of the president remains unchanged."

Somehow, I'm guessing Vladimir would serve...if they asked him really, really nice.

just wrong in any galaxy

I guess this is supposed to make me want to buy stamps.

extra, extra...

Maybe I'm missing the point of this story, but are all British soldiers HOT?!

Safe return, Royal Marine rifleman Nathan Thomas Summers; and to all the young men & women serving in Bush's war of choice.

happy trails

Leave em be!!

Nice suit btw...

sad anticipation

The last 6 years of my life, I have had the next Harry Potter book to look forward to.

I can't wait for the upcoming and last in the series; but every page turn will hurt.

Update:
there are apparently 3 different covers going to print....NBC Today Show video here about the cover art via The Leaky Cauldron.

lands of confusion

Today, after hearing for the umpteenth morning in a row on MHD, the new rock(ish) version of Genesis' "Land of Confusion", I went to itunes to buy it and decided the original will do fine, thanks.

The Invisible Touch album is one of a few instances where i am able to tolerate Phil Collins' vocals. The radio friendly pop songs are thankfully balanced with decent instrumentations and thoughtful lyrics. Su su sudio!

I remember long ago
When the sun was shining
And all the stars were bright all through the night
In the wake of this madness, as I held you tight
So long ago

I won't be coming home tonight
My generation will put it right
We're not just making promises
That we know we'll never keep

Too many men
There's too many people
Making too many problems
And not much love to go round
Cant you see
This is a land of confusion.
Question for lyrics writer, Mike Rutherford (and Collins cuz he sang the dang words): What exactly did your generation put the fuck right? The 1986 song and memorable video (remember nancy and ron in bed?) sings of out of control leaders and greed and promises a new direction and maybe revolution. Where are those promises now? Its been 20 years...why are we still singing this song Mike? Phil?

I know...they're just bloody pop stars. But if you put the words out there, I expect something more than another botox reunion tour. Dare to dream right?

that nauseating little bitch

via Poor Man
...Fifteen months ago that nauseating little bitch Lindsey Graham was primarily concerned with making sure that Leader had the right to revoke habeus corpus whenever he felt like it; now, he’s troubled that the President didn’t follow the usual protocol in replacing some civil servants. Furrow your brow, Lindsey! Furrow it with sincere concern for everyone to see! Because you can read the polls as well as anyone, and you know that anyone who sticks by Bush these days is fucked.
Different Lindsay, same emotion.
